Sick essentials!

THE WEATHER IS GETTING COOLER – WHICH MEANS IT’S LIKELY THAT YOU ARE GOING TO GET SICK SOON… MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THESE ESSENTIALS ON DECK!

SICK ESSENTIALS 3

  1. Herbal Tea -Tea has been a staple for those with the sniffles for ages. Go with Chamomile if you are feeling nauseous and Green Tea if you have a sore throat. I also love Peppermint Tea when I have sinus or allergy issues.
  2. Hot Soup – Another staple, a hot bowl of soup soothes a store throat and warms up a cold body. When I am sick, I don’t want to make homemade soup, so I love Progresso’s Chicken Dumpling soup and Baked Potato soup.
  3. Netflix/Hulu – You can’t be sick at home with just cable. Netflix and Hulu give you endless choices to make you feel better, plus if you fall asleep you can always come back to what you were watching.
  4. A Good Book – If you are capable of reading, it’s really relaxing to curl up with a good book while mucus is making you incapable of anything else. Plus, it’s hard to find time to read during normal life.
  5. Cough Drops – I am a huge fall of Halls cough drops, but be sure to have these on hand. If you don’t have a cough or a sore throat, Vitamin C drops speed up the sickness process.
  6. Bath Fizzy – When you are sick, it’s important to have a relaxing bath. The steam helps open up your sinus, and the warm water is so relaxing. Be sure to make this bad day more enjoyable with a fizzy ball of your choosing!
