Life Update: Moving and Stress

Hello there people of the internet!

I have been a little ghost-like on social media lately, and I wanted to explain myself, so I thought it would be the perfect time for a little update. To sum it up, I am moving.

In August, I moved to Alabama to do a writing fellowship. The fellowship required me to work at a designated place in Alabama for no more than a year, but after the year was up, I had to find a position at one of the businesses located elsewhere.

I had my heart on a Texas area from day one. I love being adventurous, but I hate being this far from friends and family.

I was told job postings weren’t going to start for the job I wanted until mid-spring. Being the anxious human I am, I checked the postings weekly anyway.

Luckily I did because I caught a posting that came early. I applied for the job, got the job and was soooo excited!

All of this happened in about a week and a half, and I had switched to an overnight shift, 10 p.m. t0 7 a.m. This means on top of being stressed, I was also super disoriented because of my new schedule.

Then, I found out there was a misunderstanding, and the business thought I had declined the job. My heart literally dropped because I felt like the rug was snatched up from under me. I was so nervous, and my sleeping schedule and eating schedule suffered.

Eventually, everything was cleared up!

I just felt like I needed to alert my blog family because I am going to try to get everything scheduled ahead of time for the month of March, and I might not be as active on social because I will be busy preparing for the move.

I didn’t want anyone to feel like I forgot about them, and I will do the best I can to stay in touch until I get to Texas!

I have decided to do an apartment tour, even though my apartment isn’t exactly how I want it yet. I just wanted to be able to remember my little Alabama home before I left.

ALSO, I will be having a studio room in my next apartment, so hopefully I will be able to upgrade my graphics because I will have a better space to work in.

Be sure to watch the video too!

Have a wonderful day,

XOXO

Taylor
