Halloween is my favorite time of the year!

The internet is full of spooky snack recipes, pumpkin spice is alive and well, and we all get a chance to pretend to be our favorite character for a day! Plus, the haunted houses and getting to go to FRIGHT FEST at Six Flags® Fiesta Texas makes it one of the more fun times of the year!

Decorating for Halloween, though, is my favorite part. I love the funky colors, and plastic spiders in fake webs that cover my apartment.

Then there are the snacks – there are so many easy snacks for Halloween that make you feel festive!

For example, every year I peel mandarins and put a sprig of mint in the middle to make healthy pumpkins!

When I was a teacher, my favorite Halloween-themed snack was to purchase State Fair® Corn Dogs from H-E-B, heat them up, and put almonds on the tips as claws! I would serve them to my students with ketchup (spicy ketchup for me)!

I called them “Monster Paws”!

I would also cover the corn dogs in ranch to make them look like mummies! I always used raisins as the eyeballs!
