Quick and Easy Tiramisu Recipe

My favorite dessert on earth is Tiramisu! When I was in Europe, it was everywhere – I am surprised I didn’t gain 50 pounds!

It is typically not the easiest dessert to make at home, so I only make it once a year around Christmas time. I have altered the recipe over time to make it easier – but still just as tasty.



If you haven’t had Tiramisu and you love coffee, this is a no-brainer!

Quick and Easy Tiramisu Recipe

Ingredients

3 eggs (yolks and whites separated)

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

8 oz mascarpone

1 1/4 cups of espresso

2 tbsp of Kahlua or Baileys

6.5 oz ladyfingers

Cocoa Powder for dusting

Instructions

Beat yolks and sugar with a mixer on medium-high for 12 minutes or until white and thick.

Add mascarpone and vanilla to the mixture. Using the mixer, combine. Then, transfer to another bowl.

In a new bowl, beat egg whites. Be careful not to overbeat them – they will fall!

Then, fold a third of the yolk mixture into the egg whites. Afterwards, gradually fold the remaining yolk mixture in and mix until combined

Mix coffee and liquor together in a small bowl, then quickly dip ladyfingers and place them in a square dish. Make sure you don’t get them too soggy!

Take half the cream and spread over the first layer of ladyfingers, and then add another layer of coffee-dipped ladyfingers
