DIY deep purple fall wreath with embroidery hoop

This fall season, I have been edging out of warm colors and embracing the cleaner, brisker, cooler tones of autumn. My house is full of deep blues, purples and greens.

Because of my new style of design, I wanted a rich in color but minimalistic wreath for the fall season. I went with an embroidery hoop with eucalyptus leaves and dark purple peonies.

This is the third wreath I have made in my life, and I am really loving the creative process. They are so simple to make, but it looks like you have put a lot of effort into it.

This wreath took me about 20 minutes to make.

Embroidery hoop

Eucalyptus stems

Peony stems

Rose stems

Floral wire

Hot glue gun

Pliers

INSTRUCTIONS:

The Eucalyptus stems I bought from Hobby Lobby were already in an arrangement that I liked. I clipped off the long stem ends, and I wrapped it around the hoop.

I secured the stem with floral wire and used hot glue to hold the wire in place.

After I messed with the greenery until it looked pretty, I chopped of the flowers of each stem. Starting with the large peonies, I hot glued them to the wreath. I slowly added in the other flowers as well.

After this, I let the glue harden, and I was done!

I love the look, and the only thing I need to do it paint my door another color!
